Almost every day, I read, in the newpapers, magazines, and hear/see on television,ads pertaining to mattresses that are manufactured, that will ease your back and neck aches we wake up with in the mornings, most probable these back aches are caused by misalignment of some vertebrae in our spinal column.
At one of two sessions that Dr. Selman gave, that I attended, I realized that I was years too late in seeing a chiroprator. Being 82 years of age, I was fortunate that upon having Dr. Selman give me an examination, finding both back and neck misalignments, I was given the necessary manipulations, over a scheduled period of time, that has very definitely improved my health. I have been more mobile in both my back and neck, in fact going dancing and jitter bugging is now a weekly occurence.
Dr. Selman has been a God sent Chiropractor, who has been gifted with wisdom, knowledge and the ability to ease and correct many spinal problems. I am a walking, living witness to the fact: No Pain, No Gain.

I have had migraine headaches for the last six years. The only relief I get is with pain medicine. I sleep for a while and then the pain is back again. My neurosurgeon doctor said I would have to have surgery I could be left paralyzed. So for six years I have fought the pain, some days I could have hit my head against a wall.
My Grandmother started going to Dr. Selman and I saw a great improvement for her. I made an appointment and took x-rays and eh talked with me. The doctor told me my neck was turned the wrong way and that caused the pain. I have had six adjustments and from my first visit on I have felt great! I have not had a headache. The doctor told me I had no permanent damage but I will feel much better results as i take more adjustments. I have had six visits and already see and feel the difference. Thank God I have found relief and also a caring and kind doctor.

This past Febuary I read a newspaper ad in the paper about Dr. Thomas Selman Chiropractic Center, then decided to call and made an appointment to see him. The appointment included the examination as well as free x-rays, which thereafter I was informed by Dr. Selman that he could help me with the pain I had. The date of my first visit was Febuary 21, 2000, and I have continued with my treatment which has wonderful results and made me feel much better. I am grateful to Dr. Selman for helping me with my problem, he has made a difference in my life.

On September 1, 1998, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. The next day I had it removed along with 16 inches of my colon. The cancer had progressed into my lymph system and the doctor said I had a 50/50 chance to survive.
After some thought I decided to go along with the doctor and take the chemo treatment that he had recommended. I began to educate myself about the disease and find out what had caused it, along with what I could do to help my chances. I thought chiropractic treatment could help my condition and ease some of my pain, so I began a steady schedule of adjustments along with my chemo. According to a test the oncologist would give, the cancer stayed dorment and didn't improve until I had finished the chemo, in Sept. of 1999.
In the meantime I learned that cancer is a disease of dificiency of nutrition so I completely changed my diet. I began eating a lot of raw vegetables, including atleast a cup of raw spinach every day. I also started drinking fresh carrot juice, and in discovering how bad meat is for me I thencut out all red meat from my diet. Along with my chiropractic adjustment, routine excerise, drinking plenty of clean bottled water, and lots of sun and outside air the changes in my life were the least I could do to help my condition. Finally 15 months after the surgery, the cancer began to show improvement. I attributed a large portion of the recovery process to the healthy lifestyle I had started, including the diet and chiropractic care. I am still feeling great and looking forward to a complete recovery.

About ten years ago I noticed a slight difficulty in speaking. I was a teacher when the problem began and I was just straining my voice. However, during the summer when I did not use my voice as much, the problem persisted.
Over the years, I have consulted my family doctor, neurologist and cardiologist but none could find any medical reason for my problem.
For the past two years my voice has become increasingly worse. It was a strain to carry on a simple conversation. My voice sounded like a person who has laryngitis. I discussed my condition with Dr. Selman and he suggested x-raying my neck area. The x-rays indicated that the area of the spine that controls the voice had a vertebrae out of line and possibly pressing on the nerve. He has given me therapy for about two months and I feel that my voice is stronger and clearer. With Dr. Selman's care, my voice is much improved.

I hope you take a minute to read my story, it can be called believe it or not story. I have had trouble with my feet for four and half years. Severs pain on top of left foot mostly but pain is going into right. This pain is so severe I never could find a doctor that helped in anyway but with pain medicine. I would get four hours or less of sleep at night I even started using a walking cane it helped some. I have been to nine doctors since 1994 and have had no relief, only relief with pain medicine. I went to two Podiatrist, three Orthopedic surgeons one Dr. had scheduled surgery but I canceled surgery for fear of never walking again.
One day my granddaughter asked me to go see the new Dr. in Groves, he is a Chiropractor. One of her friends worked for the doctor. Well God had to be answering my prayers. A lady called and made an appointment to see doctor but I did not go second appointment made, my granddaughter said please go MoMo maybe you will get help. The doctor took x-rays and talked with me. The next appointment the doctor went over my x-rays and gave me an adjustment the doctor is a very nice person to talk to. I have had around twelve visits and God knows how good I feel. I have slept a good six to eight hours a night. Thank God I found Dr. Selman I have never felt this good in four and half years. I now go for three vistits a week I thank God everydayfor answering my prayers and also for having a good and caring doctor.

I had been suffering from back and neck pain for months. I had tried pain relievers, hot pads, and cold packs but nothing seemed to help. There were days I hurt so bad that I could not turn my head. I gave up racquetball and worried if my pain would start effecting my job. A friend from work recommended that I see Dr. Selman. After my first adjustment, I felt a great difference. After a few weeks, I was able to enjoy an active lifestyle again.
My wife, Anne, had been suffering from earaches and headachessince she was in her teens. She had seen at least a dozen doctors. They said it was allergies or stress, or even nothing at all. We spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on examination and tests. Nothing worked. I brought her to Dr. Selman and within a few weeks we saw results. The attacks came less and less frequently, and when they did come they were less severe. It was natural that when my ( year old son Alex complained of headaches, and later when my # year old son James had earaches, we brought them to Dr. Sleman. Alex's headaches disappeared within a week, and James' earaches disappeared within hours of the first adjustment. I was a skeptic, but I can't argue with the results. My whole family is enjoying a healthier, more active lifestyle thanks to Dr. Sleman.

In February 2001, I decided to have a chiropractic exam and x-rays done on my lower back. For the past five years I had been experiencing constant nerve twitching in my lower back. The exam revealed that two of my lumbar vertebrae were misaligned. Dr. Selman informed me that the misaligned vertebrae were putting pressure on my nerves, and the pressure could be the cause of the twitching. Since my exam, I have been receiving therapy and adjustments three days a week. My condition has improved greatly. My healing has gone beyond what I expected. After I informed Dr. Selman of my asthmatic problems, he starting adjusting a specific area of my spine, and my asthma has imrpoved!
I was in wreck in 1990. This laid me away from work for three months. All my life I have been a sitting and sedentary person. These situations did little to help my nervous system and my spinal cord perform as they should. I am grateful for chiropractic healthcare, and the opportunity to allow it to alleviate my problems.

My first visit to Dr. Selman's office was March 29th, 2001. I was immediately impressed with his concern for my well being and also for the concern and politeness of his office staff. In my consultation with Dr. Selman, he asked me why I chose to come to a chiriopractor and I told him that I had been having trouble with my Sciatic Nerve for years. At times it would be worse than others. He told me that was a sign that the vertebrae was pinching that sciatic nerve. He took two x-rays and asked me to come back the next day. The next day when Dr. Selman showed me the x-rays, sure enough you could see where the vertebrae were all out of alignment and pinching the sciatic nerve. I started taking adjustments after that and he also has adjusted my neck and shoulders where I had also had some problems. I have improved tremendously, since coming to Dr. Selman. I'm glad that I made the decision to take care of these problems. Thanks Dr. Selman.

When I came to Dr. Selman a year ago I had hurt my back and I had been in bed for three weeks. I had a lot of back pain, numbness and pain down my leg. I had a hard time walking . Dr. Selman told me ha could help me and he has done that in many ways. Now I can walk without pain and numbness in my leg. I have a lot less back pain. My wife and I have had to endure pain on our necks, which originated from differnent circumstances. Hers started in a gradual way, but go more pronounced after an auto accident she was in March of 2000. My condition had started due to a pinched nerve I suffered in 1982. By the beginning of the year the pain on her neck and shoulders had become a constant ache, causing her neck to stiffen and draining her of energy. My condition, which would make my neck and left shoulder hurt pretty bad to the point of causing me headaches, was also aggravated at the beginning of the year, when I ended up having a muscle spasm in my lower back. Through the years I had tried different medications and even was placed in traction for one week but nothing seemded to help for long. We saw Dr. Selman's ad in the paper in March and made an appointment. Needless to say, immediately after starting the treatments we both felt relief. My wife's left shoulder stopped hurting and the right one continues to improve with every treatment. Now with no constant pain she is able to enjoy her daily activities. As for myself, the pain in my lower back is just about gone. The pain on my neck is minimal to none the most of the time and I haven't had a single headache since we started coming for treatments.
Dr. Selman and his staff are very courteous, helpful and friendly. They make you feel like family. Because this field can help alleviate a wide scope of illnesses and injuries, we would recommend to anyone at least the consultation to injuries, we would recommend to anyone at least the consultation to determine if Dr. Selman can be of assistance. If he recommends treatment, you will be pleased with the improvement in your health and daily living.

For the past five years, I have experienced lower back pain. I would do the usual ice packs and take pain medication, but to no avail the pain would come back. The pain was so severe I would just lay around, I had no energy. I noticed one day that my hip was shifted to one side of my body. My wife also notices that my spine looked crooked. I then made an appointment to see Dr. Selman. I found out that I had three pinched nerves in my back. These pinched nerves had caused several other problems also. Since I've been a patient here I have more energy, and I feel better everyday. The staff and Dr. Selman are outstanding. I have improved so much that I suggested my wife, who has suffered from headaches almost everyday, to come i to see Dr. Selman. I highly recommend the care of Dr. Selman and his staff.
